PRODUCT INFORMATION
Impressively low noise level trimmer with 3 in 1 blade adjustment. No vibration. Ideal for specialist and veterinary work. German designed, Gernan made and as might be expected of course …German quality!

The body casing is decorated with “paw” prints on a white polished background – with a rubberised rear inserted panel and area around the on/off switch. The product has a look of quality as would be expected of an Aesculap made trimmer. Compact in length (6.75inches/17cm) with the blade fitted. A tapered slim ergonomically curved body ensures the trimmer handles well especially in more confined area and offers fatigue free handling during use.

The ability to adjust to any one of three cutting length (0.5, 1.5 and 2.5mm) by the movement of a lever at the back of the blade has to be of value in whatever role it may perform. Another important feature is the relative absence of vibration to such an extent that it becomes hardly a factor! While like all trimmers this machine has a typical “trimmer” tone it has to be said the noise level will not be a disturbing factor for all but the most nervous animals.

Powered by a powerful Lithium-ion type rechargeable battery and driven by a DC motor this lightweight professional trimmer offers an average of 50 minutes of operating (clip) time on a single charge. The re charge period is approx. 120 minutes. To maintain battery peak performance it is recommended that the battery should be drained periodically. Lithium-ion batteries (also known as Li-ion or LIB battery) are common in consumer electronics due to their compact and light-weight size. It should be noted battery life can be shortened by storing in high temperatures. Charging instructions can be found in the manual supplied at the time of purchase

The blade face (4.5 cm) has three distinct positioning, 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5mm. Selection is achieved by moving the small grey lever to the left hand side. The blade is one piece and no attempt should be made to undo the two security screws on the blade face which require specialist tools.

To ensure proper functioning of the machine the blade must be cleaned at regular intervals. The blade is removed by holding the clipper in your hand, inserting your thumb against the blade teeth, first finger against the blade face and applying pressure. Initially when new extra pressure is required – however this becomes easier with use. The machine should be switched off when performing this operation.
The manufacturer recommends that when blunt blades should be disposed and a new blade purchased.

The trimmer is supplied with five comb attachments representing the following lengths 4, 8. 12, 16 and 20mm. By pushing the selected comb on the blade you can raise the height of the clipping (leave more on the coat) They are of a more robust construction, not the normal cheaply made comb so often supplied with trimmers. The individual teeth are smoothly rounded for entry into tender areas. This very much represents the quality one get with an Aesculap product!
